c. 1880's american eastlake style "oriental" pattern interior residential pocket door mortise lock manufactured by branford lock works, branford, ct. the single mortise lock retains the original "finger" locks, spring-loaded sliding handle and push button. the faceplate is comprised of solid brass metal. the cast iron box features a weathered ans worn original black enameled finish. measures approximately 8 x 1 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches.
