original and intact c. 1940's american vintage industrial double-sided exterior "look out for cars" porcelain enameled cautionary sign fabricated by the burdick sign co., chicago, il. the sign was salvaged from an old downtown chicago parking garage. the red and white porcelain enameled finish exhbits age appropriate wear caused by prolonged exposure to the outdoor elements. the sign accident prevention sign is comprsied of heavy gauge cold-rolled steel. the original welded joint sign bracket is strcuturally sound and stable. measures 26 x 14 x 5 inches.
