early 20th century original antique american medical mobile cook county hospital operating room surgeon instrument cabinet designed and fabricated by the bernstein mfg. co., philadelphia, pa. the upper section of the "all-metal" heavy gauge cold-rolled steel cabinet contains two hinged doors with clear glass panels and opposed sidelights with identical clear glass panes. the cabinet interior contains a multitude of fixed channel brackets designed for used with removable pressed and folded steel trays. the lower section is outfitted with two solid steel cabinet doors concealing an interior storage compartment with stationary shelving. the bassick casters are fully functional. the original "sanitary" baked white enameled finish contains a nicely worn and weathered surface patina. measures 61 1/2 x 30 1/2 x 15 1/2 inches.
