early 1920's original american reverse-painted glass "exhibition room" single-sided framed sign purportedly from the chicago field museum of natural history constructed in 1921 by daniel h. burnhma & company. the exact sign fabricator is not known. the signs contains metallic gold foil lettering against a baked black enameled background. the plate glass sign has been outfitted with a golden oak wood mitered joint frame for added stability and display purposes.
