very unique c. 1910-15 largely intact ornamental cast bronze wall mount elevator cab service panel with hinges door containing ruby red and opalescent white faceted pressed glass jewels (used as indicator lights). the barrel hinges panel contains two large holes once containing push buttons to signal the elevator cab. salvaged from a downtown st. louis commercial building undergoing system upgrades. the service panel was likely fabricated by or for the otis elevator company, new york. nicely aged surface patina with green oxidation found primarily on the left side. measures 12 1/2 x 9 inches.
