all original oversized c. 1930's american industrial instructional student laboratory table designed and fabricated by the kewaunee mfg. co., adrian, mi. the long and narrow four-legged stationary workbench contains a hardwood base with original varnished finish largely intact. the square post legs or uprights are structurally sound and stable. the remarkably heavy solid slate tabletop shows surface wear consistent with age and frequent use. the black "shoes" or feet or fastened securely around each leg. the biological laboratory table was salvaged from an old chicago public school. measures approximately 96 x 24 x 30 1/2".
