c. 1939 diminutive single-sided flush mount solid cast bronze bridge plaque or sidewalk marker salvaged during improvement made to the laramie viaduct constructed during the depression under the federal works agency/public works administration under president franklin d. roosevelt. the art deco style concrete bridge located at south laramie avenue contains a much larger, ornamented bronze plaque or inset set into one of the gargantuan skyscraper style piers. the small plaque was likely mounted within the sidewalk approach by building engineer/builder, morris handler of chicago, il. the plaque contains surface wear consistent with age. measures 2 x 5 inches.
