exceptionally well-designed and highly sought after early 20th century original and intact antique american stationary swing-out seat table designed and fabricated by or for the sani products co., chicago, il. the distinctive table was purportedly salvaged from the fort dearborn hotel (non-extant) coffee shop. the four-legged table features cabriole style cast iron legs with lion head motifs and claw feet. the extended cast iron swing-out brackets are in great working condition. the newly added tabletop is comprised of solid oak wood with stained and sealed finish. the cast iron base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the original glazed white vitreous "sani-onyx" table top with raised edges is available. measures approximately 36 x 36 x 30 inches.
