remarkably intact late 19th century antique american ornamental stamped and folded zinc metal exterior single-sided panel salvaged from a chicago commercial building located on halstad street. the non-extant two story building contained single and double recessed or sunken bay window panels used to dress up or adorn the facade. the zinc metal panel features protruding applique in the form of a centrally located rosette flanked by foliated scrollwork. the painted metal panel is in great shape, considering age. likely fabricated by mesker & brother, st. louis, ills. other panels available. measures 35 x 22 1/2 inches.
