limited quantity of original early 20th century antique american ornamental cast and wrought iron stationary exterior window guards salvaged from a post office building located in akron, oh. the two neoclassical style window guards each contain finely turned and tapered detachable spindles mounted within a rectangular-shaped wrought iron or steel frame. the foundry was likely the e.r. rose ornamental iron work company, cleveland, oh. the brushed and sanded grilles are in great overall condition. the uniform bare metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 29 x 1 1/2 x 16 inches.
