single 1930's original american antique industrial "12,000" volts" danger or cautionary sign designed and fabricated by the ready-made sign co., new york city, ny. the depression era sign retains the original porcelain or vitreous enameled finish over heavy gauge steel. the brightly colored cherry red finish contains slightly damage and/or wear along the edges and around the screw holes. the white block lettering is very pronounced against the red background. the die cut steel sign was salvaged from the a. finkl & sons foundry (see picture of sign in situ) undergoing demolition. measures 12 x 6 inches.
