c. 1911 antique american industrial unornamented refinished cast bronze metal "up" and "down" wall-mount push button elevator car or cab call plaque designed and fabricated by or for the otis elevator company, new york city, ny. the simple, yet elegant backplate features lightly embossed lettering, along with two openings once containing protruding push buttons. the uniform surface patina has been treated with a clear coat lacquer. the flush mount plaque was salvaged from an early 20th century factory complex.
