original c. 1920's american antique neoclassical style ornamental cast iron commercial bank building doorknob backplate possibly fabricated by penn or the p. & f. corbin company. the oversized backplate contains a mostly uniform brushed metal finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the topand bottom screw holes are found below the finely detailed anthemions. measures approximately 14 x 3 inches.
