one of three matching all original c. 1920's-1930's antique american ornamental oversized polychromatic terra cotta salvaged chicago building facade cornice panels designed and executed by the northwestern terra cotta company, chicago, ills. the matching panels with hollowed out rear cavities consist of a white glazed surround with centrally located heavily ornamented brightly colored floral motifs. the panels exhibit allover crazing and discoloration from prolonged exposure to the elements. the three matching panels were salvaged from a chicago commercial building built in the early 1890's, but was altered in the 1920's when the original cornice was replaced with polychromatic terra cotta. priced individually. measures 17 x 7 x 18 inches.
