unusual 19th century american victorian era black enameled ornamental wrought and cast iron stationary "fence" section designed and executed by the dearborn foundry company, chicago, il. the combined freestanding unit features two "chicago" style newel posts supporting a centrally located panel comprised of highly stylized foliated scrollwork. the posts and panel are in great condition, considering age. salvaged from a chicago victorian cottage constructed around 1889. measures 21 x 6 x 31 inches.
