hard to find and highly desirable early 20th century american industrial heavy iron drafting table fabricated by or for kolesch & co., new york city, ny. the exceptional stationary drafting table contains a four-legged cast iron base with vertical adjustment accomplished by rack and pinion movement, operated by a centrally located spoked wheel. the iron bracing or stretchers double as a footrest. the underside of the table contains two unusual ornamental scrolled brackets for added visual character. the seasoned pine wood spacious drawing board is original and intact. both wood and iron components have been thoroughly cleaned and refinished. excellent overall condition.
