custom-built american depression era c. 1930's vintage industrial heavy gauge steel lockable upright storage cabinet salvaged from a chicago boiler works factory. the solidly built freestanding cabinet contains a single door with long barrel hinge. the top of the cabinet is reinforced with welded joint angled steel channels. the rear corners contains angled steel channels with closely spaced machine screws. the cabinet's interior contains three detachable aluminum shelves capable of withstanding heavy weight (e.g., loads of books). the cabinet's exterior has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the cabinet is supported by four low-lying angled steel legs. measures 17 1/2 x 12 x 35 inches.
