original and intact early 20th century antique american hand blown light aqua blue press molded glass "bohemian beer" bottle discovered in a west side chicago privy pit. the "blop top" beer bottle contains encircled embossed fanciful lettering along the body. the two-part hinge mold glass bottle was distributed by the pilsen brewing company of chicago. according to the 1903 brewers' review, the newly formed pilsen brewing company of chicago purchased six acres of land at 26th street and albany avenue, along the illinois northern railway for 30,000 dollars. the pilsen company erected their brewery at that location (since demolished), where they operated until the early 1960's. remarkably, the bottle is free from cracks, breaks or chips. genera surface wear and discoloration consistent with age. seeds or air bubbles, along with whittle marks around the long and narrow neck.
