rare softbound 1912 “catalogue of millwork” for snow lumber co., high point, n.c., printed by globe printing co., in oshkosh, wisconsin. this digest sized catalog contains sash, doors, blinds and general millwork in yellow pine and hardwood. there are 272 pages of letterpressed text and varied illustrations. delicate line work renders wood grain and dimension in many of the objects. the first section of book includes an index, and information on ordering and sizing. blank memorandum pages are at the back. the catalog is intact and in fairly good condition. there is worming on the back corner that effects the last 40 pages of the book block. same mottled insect damage at the head of the spine, and on the upper edge of the cover; it does not impact the text or images, or the structure of the book. old handwriting, evidence of use, on the back cover. snow lumber co. was established in 1880, and at the time of printing claimed to be the largest and most up-to-date building materials manufacturer in the south. measures 4 ½ x 8 inches.
