original c. 1940's vintage american industrial refinished iron and steel freestanding factory shop fan stand fabricated by or or for the general electric company, schenectady, ny. the uniquely shaped base consists of a large circular ring containing four equally sized segments divided by strap metal overlapping against a dome-shaped tapered center mount. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a cleat coat lacquer. measures 50 inches tall.
