fully functional original late 1940's or early 1950's american vintage industrial telescoping "adjustrite" pressed and folded steel stationary factory chair or stool with an all-metal backless seat. the adjustable height stool features two relatively movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of each stool. the coacting movable members function in such a way to lock the seat at various selected positions. the bent tubular steel legs are structurally sound and stable. the lightweight stool contains a brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer. the original oversized solid maple wood saddle style seat has been sanded and sealed. the refinished stool was fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. the first incarnation was designed and patented by james a campbell in the early 1940's. great overall condition. measures approximately 15 x 15 inches with an adjustable height ranging from 15 1/2 - 20 1/2 inches.
