outstanding 19th century american victorian era brightly colored oversized stained glass arch top transom window salvaged from a chicago 3-flat residential building constructed around 1887. the largely intact art glass window is divided into three distinct sections with a centrally located medallion accentuated with an oversized deep purple rondel and multiple light blue jewels, along with two outswept flowers. the outer sections contain a "crazy quilt" pattern studded with multi-colored diminutive jewels. the rippled texture cathedral glass is brilliantly colored. hairline cracks evident. the original wood sash frame is structurally sound and stable. the victorian window is attributed to the flanagan & biedenweg company, chicago, il. measures 71 1/2 x 1 3/4 x 17 inches.
