visually striking salvaged chicago c. 1920's art deco style exterior building panel salvaged from a chicago south loop commercial building demolished in the 1990's. the art deco style wabash street structure was likely built between 1920-25. the massive single-sided panels (a limited number were removed intact) were originally anchored against the facade beneath the windows. the architectural firm has not been identified as of this writing. the panel was originally finished in a black enamel. the highly stylized organic design motifs in deep relief are typical of the art deco period. measures 48 x 30 x 1 inches. the oversized panel has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer.
