hard to find art deco style c. 1933-34 chicago world's fair "century of progress" portable souvenir lantern. the unique electric light souvenir lamp was designed by adolph c. recker of oakville, conn., for the chase company. the lamp is composed of yellow brass with a distinctive cylindrical glass shade containing applied polychrome enameled scenes from the world's fair. the interior source of light consists of a low-wattage incandescent light bulb with original rotary switch socket. the lamp remains in excellent condition, considering age.
