depression era chicago machine shop customized stationary stool or stand comprised of a cast iron pedestal base with heavy gauge tubular steel pipe. the metal base or stand has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the refinished and repurposed stand or stool has a nicely worn and weathered maple wood seat with slightly sunken center. both the base and seat are base are securely attached to the oversized round pipe.
