early 20th century antique american industrial repurposed stationary side table consisting of cast iron machine bases or legs designed and fabricated by or for the monarch machine tool co., sidney, oh. the solid iron supports feature finely curved and flared channeled legs with multiple pre-drilled holes for stretcher rods or bars. each heavily reinforced cast iron base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat finish. the newly added tabletop and undershelf are comprised of quartered oak wood tongue and groove flooring salvaged from the chicago athletic association building. the wood boards have been sanded stained and sealed. the cast iron bases were salvaged from a chicago tool & die factory. measures approximately 43 3/4 x 14 1/4 x 33 3/4 inches.
