original c. 1920's antique american industrial long and narrow lightweight pressed and folded steel basement vault room security deposit box savaged from the extant noel bank building during its conversion into a walgreens retail store. the well-built solid steel storage box contains a hinged top panel that permits east access to the storage space within. the original bent steel rod oval-shaped drop handle remains intact. the security deposit boxes used at the noel state bank originally contained a baked black enameled finish with metallic gold paint pin stripping and hand-painted numbers. the extant noel state bank building, located in the wicker park neighborhood of chicago, is a classic example of an american neoclassical style bank building designed by the architectural firm of weary & alford for joseph noel, who founded the north west savings bank in 1905. the bank building was completed in 1920 and now is home to walgreens. limited quantity available. priced individually. measures 14 x 5 x 2 inches
