late 1930's original american machine age bel geddes-esque streamlined style vanity sitting bench fabricated by the simmons mfg. co., kenosha, wisc. the pressed and folded steel bench has been repurposed into a stationary occasional or side table with newly added solid mahogany wood top. the bench has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. very clean and simple in design. great overall condition. strong and sturdy. simmons specialized in the industrial design and fabrication of all-metal furniture for use in mostly commercial applications (e.g., hospitals, schools, office buildings, hotels, etc.). measures 20 1/2 inches x 13 1/2 inches x 15 inches.
