hard to find all original c. 1915-1920 single deep cobalt blue porcelain enameled steel "maxolite" pendant light or dome reflector manufactured for central electric company in chicago, il. the interior factory light is comprised of heavy gauge steel with a deep bowl profile. the original and highly desirable deep cobalt blue porcelain or vitreous enameled finish remains intact. the white reflective underside remains in good condition considering age. the fixture retains the original ceramic socket, with "g.e. co." stamped at the edge, as well as a metal pull chain. the fixture is outfitted with the original eyelet for hanging from the ceiling. the threaded end steel post and flange are tightly affixed to the reflector. "maxolite" shades or reflectors were distributed through the central electric company to factories across the country in the first half of the 20th century. great overall condition. only one available. measures 14 inches in diameter x 18 inches high.
