unusual c. 1930's american antique medical adjustable height hospital operating room surgeon's stool attributed to william v. willis & co., philadelphia, pa. the chair or stool base is three-legged and comprised of bent tubular steel reinforced by stretchers. the rounded edge revolving seat contains three oversized pierced circular-shaped holes. the seat is supported by a solid steel threaded rod mounted within the sleeve where the legs are joined. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. a total of six matching stools are available. salvaged from a michigan state hospital. priced individually. base measures 16 inches, seat diameter measures 13 3/4, adjustable height measures between 18 - 25 1/2 inches.
