matching set of all original and remarkably intact c. 1931 ornamental two-tone cast bronze interior wall-mount lobby elevator cab or car up/down indicator lights salvaged from the cuyahoga county criminal court building prior to demolition. the set of directional plaques retain the original deeply grooved or fluted pressed frosted glass panels with a design configuration complimenting the plaques or base plates. the super streamlined machine age elevator panels were originally illuminated from the backside - either with a red/white or green/red color scheme. the dual tone (i.e., partially plated) bronze metal base plates contains closely spaced parallel lines and a "stepped" profile - both design characteristics were very popular in art deco design. the thick fluted glass insets are original and free from damage. the 1931 art deco criminal courts stone building (located in cleveland) was designed by the architectural firm of warner & mitchell. priced for the pair. each wall-mount measures 6 x 9 1/4 inches.
