pair of original early 1940's vintage fully functional american industrial heavy gauge tubular steel "localite" triple-joint task lamps designed and fabricated by the fostoria pressed steel corp., fostoria, oh. the pressed and formed steel articulating lamps contain bulbous "slim helmet" reflector-shades with integrated socket housing. the factory green paint finish is largely uniform throughout. the existing sockets and lamp cords are in good condition. the two light fixture were likely mounted to a factory machine shop lathes or workbenches. fostoria began producing the "localite" (in various configurations) beginning in 1918. the ball-and-socket joints are in good working condition. several variations available. socket and mounting plate included. priced for the pair. measures approximately 36 inches in length.
