early electric american industrial faries "portable" articulating double light table or desk lamp featuring a patented benjamin dual pull-chain edison socket. the c. 1910-15 lamp features two matching pressed steel parabola-shaped reflectors with uniform green paint finish. each reflector contains a rolled rim and concentric circles lightly incised along the top. the double-jointed lamp contains a weighted cast iron base, concealed by a turned and tapered yellow brass cover plate. the tubular arms remain in great shape, considering age. the lamp has been rewired with period appropriate braided cloth lamp cord. the fixture was fabricated by the faries mfg. co., decatur, il.
