unique c. 1930's original antique american industrial oversized 30-ton gantry crane operator control switch or plaque with rotating handle comprised of solid maple wood. the plaque was salvaged from an operator's cab housed in an a. finkl & sons foundry building complex currently undergoing demolition. the gantry crane controller consists of a cast iron plaque with embossed lettering pertaining to the movement of the crane and hoist. the detachable swivel or pivoting handle with original solid maple wood knob are original and in great shape. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. a total of three controllers were salvaged from the 30-ton gantry crane operator cab. all three have been refinished. the controllers were possibly fabricated by or for the milwaukee electric crane & mfg., co., milwaukee, wisc. measures 9 x 8 x 5 inches.
