original and completely intact late 19th century darkly stained antique american interior residential fireplace mantel designed and fabricated by or for e.l. robers & company, chicago, ills. the birch wood fireplace mantel contains a largely uniform stained finish. the beveled edge mirror is original and intact. the full mantle or mantel was salvaged from a chicago residence undergoing demolition. the top finials along the top shelf in front of the header are original and free from damage. the backside of the fireplace mantel contains manufacturer markings in the form of hand-painted black paint. great overall condition. 60 x 10 x 78 . firebox is 35 x 36 inches
