original c. 1930's fully functional american industrial "adjusco" factory workbench triple-jointed task lamp designed and fabricated by or for s. robert schwarts & co., new york city, ny. the exceptional single electric light industrial lamp features three graduating flat disc joints designed to emulate the movement of the human arm. the extended cast iron stationary arm or base was made specifically for the desk or bench variety. the flexible fixture contains a yellow brass paddle switch bryant socket (note the extended key) rewired with period appropriate braided white cloth cord. the green enameled rolled rim pressed steel hubbell shade is original and and largely intact. the fixture's uniform brushed metal finish has been treated with a cleat coat lacquer. shade measures 6 1/2 inches in diameter, approximately 34 inches in length when fully extended.
