early 1920's all original american medical stationary brushed tubular steel hospital examination stool designed and fabricated by or for the frank s. betz. co., hammond, ind., or possibly the peerless appliance co., new york city, ny. the medical doctor or dentist examination chair contains four slightly flared cylindrical-shaped legs reinforced by an all-welded joint central ring. the bow-back rail and spindle backrest contains a fully adjustable telescoping neck rest with black rubber discs or pads for added comfort. the neck support bracket is bolted firmly against the back rest top rail. the pressed and formed circular-shaped seat remains in great condition. the uniform bare metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the pivoting ball joint neck rest is made of bronze with a nickel-plated finish. measures approximately 13 x 13 x 39 inches, with a seat height of 18 inches.
