unusual early 1920's antique american medical articulating wall-mount hospital examination room task lamp designed and fabricated by the freemore light company, minneapolis, mn. the fully adjustable single electric light was salvaged from an old cook county hospital radiology department room. the uniquely designed wall lamp is comprised of two distinct, yet integrated sections (i.e., supporting bracket and arm), comprised of heavy gauge steel. the "floating arm" moves up and down and from side to side. the bracket is mounted to a flush mount cast bronze base plate with oversized pin and multiple screw holes for mounting purposes. the paddle switch brass shell socket has been rewired with period appropriate braided brown cloth cord. the diminutive green porcelain enameled steel reflector or shade was added at a later time. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer.
