c. 1920-25 antique american medical hospital stationary workstand or side table designed and fabricated by the frank s. betz co., hammond, ind. the art deco style bent tubular steel stand or base retains the original hardened rubber "feet" for added support and stability. the original and intact "sani" tabletop is comprised of cast iron with the original white vitreous or porcelain enameled finish free from damage. the compact operating room instrument table has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the undershelf brackets contained a glass shelf (long since lost) for additional storage. measures 20 x 16 1/4 wide x 34 1/2 inches high.
