original antique american interior residential ornamental cast brass passage size doorknob dating to the 1880's. the fanciful gothic style doorknob was designed and fabricated by the norwich lock mfg. co., norwich, ct. the doorknob features a centrally located floral rosette surrounded by quatrefoils contained with graduated concentric rings. black enameled inlay accentuates the detail. measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
