all original and largely intact c. 1900's early factory machinist's stool manufactured by the milwaukee chair co., milwaukee, wisc. the strong and sturdy stool is comprised of solid oak wood with original varnished finish. the revolving seat does contains damage depicted in the product image. the threaded steel rod or spindle supporting the seat moves up and down with ease. the cast iron cradle reinforces the legs and guides the spindle during rotation. two bent steel rods anchor the cradle against a stretcher to prevent excessive movement. surface wear and tear consistent with age. measures approximately the base measures approximately 12 x 12 inches with a height ranging from 17 to 20 inches.
