american depression-era single-sided vintage industrial "days without lost time" factory sign likely manufactured by the enameled green sign co., or possibly stonehouse (denver, co). this very early "safety first" sign is comprised of reinforced masonite with polychrome enameled finish. the blank black box was used for "score" chalk entries pertaining to the frequency of workplace incidents and features the slogan "accidents are avoidable" at the bottom. the old industrial scoreboard sign remains in great shape, considering age. several holes along each edge allow the sign to be mounted flush against a wall. measures 28 x 20 inches.
