c. 1919-21 original and largely intact double-sided interior cook county hospital ward ceiling mount illuminated exit light attributed to the atlas electrical products company, brooklyn, ny. the flush mount "can" sign retains the original metallic baked-on finish over steel. the front and back panels contain cutout lettering backed by the original white opalescent white glass. the interior retains the original barebulb keyless sockets for illuminating the letters. the canopy is comprised of spun yellow brass. the hospital light exit can does contain red glass panels (original) if one prefers the letters to glow red. great overall condition, considering age. measures 14 1/2 x 4 x 9 inches ( 12 1/2 with fixture)
