all original and well-maintained oversized early 1920's antique american interior norva movie theater interior auditorium "exit 4" stained glass framed panel possibly fabricated by or or the h. w. johns-manville co., new york city, ny. the massive leaded art glass exit panel was originally illuminated by incandescent lighting from the backside. the built-in "can" type housing was detached from the hinged brass frame the surrounds the brightly colored glass panel. the background consists of caramel slag panels with rich ruby red cathedral glass characters. the hinged frame pivots with ease. the lead caming and glass panels are in great condition, considering age. the 2000-seat extant norva theatre (which is named for norfolk, virginia) originally opened in 1922, as norfolk’s original "movie palace" type theater. after several years of neglect, the former movie palace underwent extensive renovations and reopened as one of the city's leading concert venues. measures 26 x 12 x 2 inches
