american made vintage industrial depression era four-legged factory stool designed and fabricated by the angle steel stool company, plainwell, mi. the low-lying stationary stool contains a heavy gauge riveted joint steel base with x-shaped bracing or stretchers for added support and stability. the red paint finish is mostly uniform throughout. the inward-turned ball feet are a distinct feature of "otsego" angle steel stools. fabricated sometime in the 1930's. base diameter measures 15 inches, seat height measures 24 inches, seat diameter measures 14 inches.
