original c. 1940's american art deco style interior barbershop freestanding coat and/or hat rack salvaged from a south side chicago barbershop. the chrome plated steel coat rack was likely fabricated by the email j. paidar company, chicago, il. the top section consists of a pyramidal-shaped "stepped" revolving rack containing multiple oversized double hooks. the tubular steel pole is supported by a weighted cast iron base concealed by a "stepped" base cap. the machine age stand contains light surface wear and some pitting. great overall condition, considering age. the base measures approximately 15 inches in diameter with an overall height of 69 inches.
