american art deco style freestanding south side chicago barbershop coat and/or hat rack likely fabricated by the emil j. paidar company, chicago, il. the upright garment rack contains a chrome plated tubular steel post supported by a weighted black enameled cast iron "stepped" profile base. the detachable revolving top contains multiple oversized double hooks remaining in great overall condition. the chrome finish is remarkably intact with very little, if any, surface rust or pitting evident. the base measures approximately 16 inches in diameter. the height it approximately 66 inches.
