one of several finely crafted all original early 20th century interior residential freestanding white glazed vitreous porcelain or china lavatory pedestal sinks designed and fabricated by standard or the crane company, chicago, ills. the impressive oversized sink features a detachable bowl with surrounding recessed apron or skirt. the enameled ware pedestal base is tapered with outswept bottom. the original porcelain faucet handles with original rosettes or escutcheons are in great overall condition. the solid porcelain bathroom sink was salvaged from an oak park residence built around the turn of the century.
