original and intact late 1940's vintage american industrial pressed and folded steel stationary factory machinist stool designed and fabricated by lyon metal products inc. aurora, il. the distressed red painted stool is structurally sound and stable. the four-legged metal base is of sound construction. the low-lying stool retains the original feet fastened tightly to each leg. the stool was salvaged from the roberts electric company machine shop, located on morgan street in the historic fulton street market district. the factory shuttered several years ago. measures 24 inches high x 14 inches in diameter.
