original early 1920's antique american industrial green porcelain enameled factory pendant light fixture designed and fabricated by the benjamin electric mfg. co., chicago, il. the type "rr" cold-rolled steel "standard" bowl-shaped reflector retains the original robust vitreous or porcelain enameled finish over steel, with the white reflective coating along the underside. the tapered socket housing contains a single ceramic incandescent light bulb standard size socket. the threaded steel post or pipe with ceiling "cap" flange are original to the fixture. the attachment between the post and integrated reflector/socket housing was fabricated by westinghouse. three identical green porcelain factory pedant light reflectors were salvaged from a chicago tool & die factory. priced individually.
